There aren't many about nowadays. :(

Don't take this too literally, a simple breaking of them would cover me for at least a few days.

In that case, don't buy Dragon NaturallySpeaking as I'm a tetraplegic and still by more than I should!

Popped down town and picked these 2 up in a charity shop. The original Nightwatch - I'd skipped it earlier in the week as I'd assumed it was the Russian sci fi flick - and a western directed by and starring Tommy Lee Jones.
I have so many films to watch I really need to stop buying more!!!

Poundshop has been lean of late, but they had a fair few copies of this, a 2disc for £1
fingers crossed we get more of this ilk.

Pretty chuffed with these for £20 considering that these discs are often about £14 each usually and I've never seen them really come down in price.

trebor8273 8th September 2013 07:58 PM

Got the 3disc edition of last house on the left, what are the differnces between the normal version and the krug and company cut?

My three favourite on that label and I paid a LOT more than that!

I'm actually don't mind it, in two minds to pick this up at some point, might wait to see if it goes under 25. The breakfast sketch is still one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

That film looks awesome! So glad to see Grindhouse releasing back releasing films. Hope they're definitely going to be putting out their backcatalogue in HD; I've held off on Pieces and Cat in the Brain for so long.

fuzzymctiger 9th September 2013 10:01 AM

Was a bit hesitant due to the price tag and those things can be a bit hit miss at times, but that sounds like it has enough extras to justify a purchase, even if it isn't as funny or entertaining as it looks, so I'll have to get it next time I do a us order.

You'll be happy to hear they are going to release their entire back catalog on blu ray, plus new films like The Swimmer and The Big Gundown.

Also Pieces is currently getting a 4K scan for release next year!

I got my copy from importcds going for 18 bucks - cheaper than Amazon's $30 (?) Blu is region-free as well...

Is that the 3 disc one?

Forgot to check Import, they're generally always cheaper for everything.

They are pretty much the same film. The only real difference between the two versions is a few lines of dialogue in the scene in which Mari’s parents find her dying by the lakeside.

In 'Krug and Co', she manages to say a few lines before dying, which are absent from the main feature.

Yep, it sure is... I think this one is limited to 2000 copies, dunno how true that is as these things go. I'm quite looking forward to this one I must say ! Looks wacky !

I also found the picture quality to be a bit worse on Krug and Co' too, when compared to Last House on the Left

trebor8273 9th September 2013 12:18 PM

well if thats it i will just watch the original version

I think it's worth a watch, in fact the last time I fancied watching Last House, it was the Krug and Co' version I chose

That's the one I always watch – Krug and Co is a curio which I'll watch every so often.

OOh, jealous...Spiral I love. Nearly came to blows with some septic know nothings on facebook about the excreable US remake of The Ring...not one of them knew about this (or the books:pout:)

A-hem.

Just had a good laugh at this.

Uzumaki literally means Spiral in Japanese, so you have Evil Dead Trap, Spiral, and The Spiral :pound:

Thanks for the tip, Wes.

Plus, for better value per disc and to offset importcds $5 for the first item shipping on this one, I also decided to order 4 more discs with it:

A Boy and His Dog (Shout Factory BD)
Hands of the Ripper (Synapse BD)
The House of Seven Corpses (Severin BD)
The Unseen (Scorpion BD)

Worked out that each disc comes to £13 inc. shipping and handling. Pretty good.

That's a great stash there dude, I'd love to pick up some more titles but I'm eying up a Fela Kuti boxset on Amazon UK...
