Realistically you can replace dumb and dumber with two lane blacktop however I just wanted it on the list  Also would prefer wild at heart but straight story needs a mention also!

ROAD MOVIES

I found it impossible to do a top 10 as there were so many I wanted to include, so ended up doing a top 20. There were some I considered but rejected because they didn't involve any form of transportation: Walkabout, The Wizard of Oz.
  1. It Happened One Night
  2. Badlands
  3. Y Tu Mamá También
  4. The Blues Brothers
  5. The Hitcher
  6. The Grapes of Wrath
  7. Wild Strawberries
  8. Thelma & Louise
  9. Sideways
  10. Wild at Heart
  11. Easy Rider
  12. Paris, Texas
  13. The Straight Story
  14. Broken Flowers
  15. Vanishing Point
  16. O Brother, Where Art Thou?
  17. Little Miss Sunshine
  18. Midnight Run
  19. The Motorcycle Diaries
  20. Nebraska

Just missing out:
  • Natural Born Killers
  • Pierrot Le Fou
  • Beavis and Butthead Do America
  • Detour
  • Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore
  • Leningrad Cowboys Go America
  • We're the Millers

Thanks to everyone who contributed a list of their favourite road movies – there's a few I haven't seen and have added to my wish list.

This week's topic has been done before, but not since 2016, so a list you contributed on that occasion may be outdated.

Seriously? I thought it was terrible. It's the only film i haven't given even half a star to on Letterboxd all year.

I thought it was decent, not the best horror film but watchable enough

FF it is then ...

Cannibal Holocaust (without which ...)
Noroi (journalist delves into the wrong story)
Man Bites Dog (the only comedy on the list )
[REC] (Euro late night tv goes ... a bit wrong)
Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon (was worth the wait)
The Last Broadcast * (*until the very end, this surpassed the next film by a country mile)
The Blair Witch Project (hilarious romp as 3 horny teens appear in different film )
Ahem.
The Last Horror Movie (well, I wasn't picking Hollow . Seriously, this is a grim wee treat)
The Borderlands (Stoneybridge wis nivir this scary :pound:. "Hallowed ... Be ... Thy NAME!!!")
Paranormal Activity (with the original "police" ending. Somewhat scarier than wot they went wif guvnor, honest)

What a breeze. Might pick another clump.
