Saw that too. Unfortunately I can't live with it. Let those f*****s fall! (Waits for the animal lovers to gang up on me). Bloody 75 year old law. Oooo, we can't show a rat breathing liquid oxygen, ooooo we can't show a cockfight (except when it wasn't staged for the film). Twats!

On one hand I agree completely with what you're saying is I'd much rather see a film in its original version than one which has been censored due to an archaic law.

On the other hand though (and speaking as a vegan), I've no desire to see animal cruelty on the screen. Just because the animals died and nothing will bring them back doesn't mean we need to watch it. That said, whenever I watch Cannibal Holocaust, I always select the uncut version.

Such is the duality of man!

Someone's been possessed by Alan Partridge! :)

I can live without the horse falls to be honest. I'm guessing the recent tabloid stories about horse mistreatment on the new Hobbit movies cheered you up no end ;)

While I'd rather horse falls didn't happen, isn't it a pathetically obtuse double standard that the Grand National still carries on and is televised live every year?

That's excellent news probably timed to coincide with the release of the remake no doubt.

Hope it features a lovely new transfer and is not bare bones.;)

Great news, Brian De Palma's best film IMO and one of the best SK adaptions :woot:

And 5 minutes from my house. Not comfortable at all with the fact that horses are being injured so close to where I live.

Third Window Films to release Tsukamoto classics on blu ray!!

Bullet Ballet / Tokyo Fist - As with our release of Tetsuo a couple months ago, we are pleased to once again present, for the first time in the world, two of Shinya Tsukamoto's classic films digitally restored by Tsukamoto himself and presented on Blu-ray and DVD with exclusive extras and cardboard slipcases with original artwork. These though will be released as separate releases, not together as Tetsuo I and Tetsuo II were.

Looking forward to this after the Tetsuo blu ray. Bullet Ballet sounds amazing, and Tokyo Fist looks pretty good too.
