Quite probably not. All their others have been Region Free.

Ah right, I've always assumed their releases are locked :)

Every one of their releases which I have has been region free (including the Fernando di Leo Crime Collection BD), so it would be very strange if this was any different.

 Can't wait.

Hawkmonger 11th April 2013 03:47 PM

This quite literally made my day. A movie I've wanted on BD for an age, and coming from Raro it should have some nice art to.

the blob 11th April 2013 03:54 PM

And now MILANO ROVENTE AKA GANG WAR IN MILAN too from Raro!

I wonder what else they've got up their sleeve. Better than all this prancing about with blurred photos and cryptic clues. Just get on with it and tell us what's coming!

Day one purchase for me,

Now all we need is Zombie Creeping Flesh and the zombie blu-ray collection is complete.

Stephen@Cult Labs 12th April 2013 06:09 AM

Looks like Japan is getting Orca: The Killer Whale on blu-ray in July. At first I thought the artwork was just something they put together for this release, but it's actually the Japanese poster.

Crawlspace with Klaus Kinski is now available on amazon.de. The PQ is said to be pretty decent.

I think I'll buy the one on the marketplace instead that's listed at 799 Euros.

nekromantik 12th April 2013 08:44 PM

The French disk of Army of Darkness is cheaper then the german set and is out now.
Its just got the 3 versions of the movie and few extras, am tempted seeing as how expensive the german set is.

Stephen@Cult Labs 13th April 2013 07:01 PM

Universal have updated the artwork of the first four individual releases from the Universal Monsters boxset. Creature From The Black Lagoon looks a lot better than the preliminary art.

That artwork is impressive, I may be tempted to double dip on these when the prices drop. I assume the only difference between the UK discs & these is the artwork

Yeah, exact same discs as the boxset. I can get rid of my dvds now, which I kept for the same artwork as these ones.

Rik 13th April 2013 07:09 PM

Thought so, definitely only if they drop in price then

Stephen@Cult Labs 13th April 2013 07:16 PM

When I say I kept the dvds, I haven't bought the BD boxset yet, so these are the one's I'll be going for. :)

I watched a double bill of Frankenstein and The Bride of Frankenstein this afternoon (for about the third time) and the AV quality never ceases to impress.

Yeah, I'd probably say that Bride is my favourite from the set, I've always loved that film more than the others so seeing it look so good was fantastic

The last 4 (5 including the Spanish version of Dracula) should get individual releases around Halloween, so looking forward to getting the complete collection from the boxset.

nekromantik 17th April 2013 06:28 AM

Criterion have announced a date for their Devils Backbone release! Its out end of July and Im sure as hell getting it. It features brand new transfer and subtitle translation and 2 new bonus features. Im happy they redone the subs as the UK DVD and Blu had some poorly translated subs and the PQ on the UK blu was sub par.

oaxaca 17th April 2013 06:48 AM

VAMPIRE LOVERS has just been posted by Importcds a full 13 days shy of the release date. Excellent!

Nice one, I read that it was going to be locked

Crimson Blade 17th April 2013 08:00 PM

That's weird. When i asked Shout Factory on twitter, they told me it was definitely locked.

the blob 17th April 2013 08:06 PM

Hmmm... Could be an authoring error maybe? I'm all-region but if so, might be worth ordering sooner rather than later for anyone that isn't.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 17th April 2013 08:18 PM

Hopefully DVDWORLDUSA ships this shortly....

Interesting. If there's an HD master now maybe 88 films can get access to it?

Hmmm, not sure. They get their masters for BD's from Full Moon, so if they don't have one themselves I think it's very unikely.

TJ Doc 25th April 2013 10:33 PM

Yeah, that could well be a dodgy SD up-convert transfer (which happens more often than it should).

oaxaca 29th April 2013 07:00 AM

A reminder that these 2 awesome horror films are coming out from Scream/Shout Factory on May 21st in the US...

http://images4.static-bluray.com/mov...7129_large.jpghttp://images.static-bluray.com/movi...1796_large.jpg

Can't wait for these :D ImportCDs.com seem to be the cheapest for pre-ordering them.

Larusso 29th April 2013 08:32 AM

It's gonna be really nice. I placed my pre-order in February already!
