There's also an extended directors cut out there if you look on amazon. Tends to be dearer.

Does it add much to the story?

Wish someone would relase A Fistful of Dynamite on Blu!

It's available from Germany, Italy and America (region friendly):

https://www.amazon.de/Todesmelodie-B...+leone+blu-ray

https://www.amazon.it/Gi%C3%B9-testa...+testa+blu-ray

https://www.amazon.com/Duck-Sucker-F...s=duck+blu-ray

You'd be better off importing it anyway as a United Kingdom version would be cut by the BBFC for horse falls.

It's down as a directors cut but I didn't spot a great deal of difference

Sid & Nancy

To think what might have been sends a shudder down ones spine. Madonna as Nancy Spungen? No f******* thanks mate. Its good then that ultimately, Alex cox, a director with a lot of passion for the punk scene ended up making the film. Chloe Webb kills it as Nancy, a skagged out groupie that most people view as a toxic influence on the UK punk scene. Webb manages to deliver a Nancy with actual pathos that even at her annoying worst you can actually buy Sid actually wanting to stick around throughout the utter degradation the characters wallow through. The real star of the piece is Gary Oldman as Sid. Not yet a star Oldman makes sure is is one by the end of the film with an absolutely stunning performance. The cinematography from Rodger Deakins is absolutely stunning as well and really shows in the new Blu-ray release. Overall its still my second favourite Cox film behind Repo man. Well worth getting.

GOLDEN YEARS

A slight change of pace from the normal for myself but occasionally I like to step outside my comfort zone and watch a British comedy about OAPs robbing banks due to cuts in pensions.

Featuring pretty much every British TV actor and actress over 60, this is an angry film that at times in small ways comes across as UKIP lite in its depiction of modern Britain. That said, it had a dogging joke that made me laugh out loud and it was great to see so many familiar faces all in one place.
