I second that Strickland plug.

Scared Stiff (1987)

What's a Pat Benatar style songbird to do? She's married to Andrew Stevens and her new abode is a tad shitey. Cue mental breakdown? Ahem. Middling.

Dark Heritage (David McCormick)

Reasonably faithful adaptation of Howie's The Lurking Fear. Where it not for the slightly murky sound and Boosh style beasties etc ....
Some chaps wander about looking for a local house of ill omen. What they find is close enough to make me happy. Rewatch soon though ...

Porno Holocaust (1979, Joe D'Amato)

Ahem. Another one off the list:lol:.
Some people wander about a rather crackly paradise, some have sex, some get murdered ... so it's already betterer than Love Island :pound:
Ahem. Eastman gets a sticky end etc. Plus you get to see .... Look, you can either go with Aristide here or not. My dvdr has awful subs which "stick", which adds to the hilarity tbh. Remake this Hollywood

Pyewacket is one of those films that treads a well traveled path of angsty Gothic chic. However in this instance actress Nicole Sanchez pulls it off well as she basically carries the movie on her own. The Walking Dead actress, Laurie Holden (Andrea) plays her mum and there are reasons for her daughters misery but twists lie ahead for their relationship especially when the film takes a left turn as the two reconcile their broken mother / daughter bond.

I enjoyed Pyewacket. It's well made and well acted. It may be too slow burning for some and i can understand that, but for me the pace built up in a beautifully controlled broody manor to a finale which proved thought provoking and shocking.

I just watched this myself after picking up the DVD for £1.50 in CEX. It kind of freaked me out haha. Slow, I agree but the payoff is worth it!

Creepy and disturbing and worth a watch for sure.

I’ve always been disappointed that George doesn’t get into any of the ahem... action himself haha, being a serious actor and all!

I thought it sounded like he did when D said he 'Gets a sticky end'.

I’m sure he had plenty of action once the cameras were turned off!

No, he just went on holiday. Lovely Greek island he says in this postcard ... ;)

Cherry Falls 2000.

A serial killer starts bumping off the virgin teens in the town of Cherry Falls

As cheesey as the plot sounds this was a decent slasher movie with a good back story to the killer's motive. Brittany Murphy plays Jody, the local teen who is holding off the...making out sessions with her boyfriend. Michael Biehn plays the local sherrif and Jody's strict father who may be hiding a dark secret from his past. Jay Mohr plays the teacher concerned about the welfare of his students. There is some good killing moments with a build up suspense and some comedy blended in. Worth a watch 6-7 out of 10.

A couple of girls are driving home from a party when they pull over to help a guy in need on the side of the road but its a trap. The girls are overpowered by two more men hiding in the bushes and their car is stolen and they are both held captive. After some fancy driving a bit further down the road they end up crashing into an old abandoned mine with no way of escape. Are they alone in this creepy mine .........they are in me F###.

Nothing much happens in Trapped Alive in the way of kills but i felt really drawn into the film. The acting is decent and sometimes it made me laugh loudly with the decision making of the characters just as i can't shoot a gun because i twisted my ankle or checking the bullets in the gun when the window of opportunity to shoot someone is very small  Trapped Alive has a bit of everything death, horror, cannibalism, sex, romance and stupidity  It would be hard for me to recommend it but i had fun with it many might find it boring and granted a few scenes are dragged out and are a bit wordy but it has charm sometimes that's all a film needs as it gives you some joy that's good enough.
