I was just talking about Venice to a work colleague today, I was saying how I didn't love Rome but would like to give Venice (and Lake Garda) a try for a holiday!!

Oh I need to buy Tokyo Drifter! Do you not have Nikkatsu Diamond Guys Vol 1? Voice without A Shadow is great.

I've stayed a week on Lake Garda and there's plenty to do in the area. Small towns to visit, vineyards etc. Plus it's not far from Verona which is a beautiful old city with a stunning little amphitheater. If you do visit Verona i guarantee you Letters to Juliet will become your new favourite chick flick.

As for Venice? Well lets say i don't think you need more than a day there. I know people who have gone off the beaten track and said it's a great city though.

Like you say, I would probably do the holiday at Lake Garda and have a day trip from there to Venice, most of the hotels run an excursion, my mother tells me anyway, she's been twice! All I know about Verona is the first line of text from Romeo and Juliet

Lake Garda on a gloomy Gothic tinged day. Taken in 2012.

I have both diamond guy sets as well. I know some people on here aren't fussed but i was pleased as punch when Arrow started tackling Japanese cult cinema.
