I'll buy that for a dollar, to watch .

It is a direct sequel to the 1992 film of the same name and the fourth film in the Candyman franchise.

Indeed it is. Vanessa A. Williams is reprising her role from the first film, and the main character is her son (who was a baby in the first one).

In all fairness tbh I think I've only seen first one, so I can't really make any comment I'll have to see if they are on Netflix.

You should really watch them all. The first two are excellent as the sequel plays with the 'rules' of a horror sequel and is both innovative and self reflective.

Although the third and fourth ones aren't as good, they are still very well made and engrossing films and a must watch for any self-respecting horror film fan.

Bumhouse's involvement is a massive turnoff and red flag, I'm sorry.

Really? Although I've not been enamoured with most of their output, I really liked Happy Death Day and The Purge series, and think Get Out is a brilliant film.

Here a list of blumhouse films,

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List...tions_projects

I do think their more Miss than hit, And of all the films their behind I think I've seen between 15 -20.
Eg

Purge films
Town that dreaded sundown
Lords of Salem
In a valley of violence
Birth of the dragon
Unfriended I quite liked
Get out

All the above I've seen and enjoyed.

Wasn't overly struck on happy death day

But also some terrible
I don't like paranormal activity films
13 sins remake thought was pretty bad
Black Christmas haven't seen but judging by the reviews it's not something I need to see
Awful martyrs remake

Quite a few I've not heard of and quite a few I've no real interest in watching .

Martyrs Remake i haven't seen as it will be no match for the original.
The Visit was a joke
Paranormal Activity i did enjoy, but only question i will ask...

Do we really need a sequel to The Gallows?

iank 8th May 2020 12:11 AM

I liked the first Happy Death Day. That's about it. :tongue1:

If it’s as shite as the first one, then no we didn’t need it!

There's only a select few Blumhouse films worth watching in my opinion.

They are the lowest common denominator in jump scare horror film making. For every one that works there are ten derivative pieces of formulaic crap.

The best ones aren't Blumhouse productions as such merely films they helped finance as in Lords of Salem.

Lords of Salem is a Rob Zombie film, not a Blumhouse film. It's written, directed and produced by Zombie. Blumhouse just helped finance it.

The number of times this has been mentioned on FB over the last few hours... it's certainly going to be an 'event' film!
