Dark twisted comedies aren't easy to come by as they tread a thin line before becoming too twisted to be funny.

Stitches, the killer clown film starring Ross Noble and recommended by MTDS on a previous thread may well float your boat. I really enjoyed it.

Very true - probably why they're so few and far between. I find 'comedy' difficult to recommend at the best of times anyway what with people varying vastly in terms of sense of humour. My tastes do lie more towards the twisted end of the spectrum though, however.

Thanks - I'll add it to my list of potentials.

If you like that i'd also recommend Boy Eats Girl (2005).

I'm not sure if it was because they are both Irish productions or because they were just similar in the humour and high school setting stakes but this zombie comedy was going through my head whilst watching Stitches.

As with Stitches it's very gory except zombies rather than killer clowns, with a finale to rival Jackson's Braindead in the carnage stakes. The gore isn't everything though. The film has re-watch value because of it's sharp dialogue and likable characters. Don't let the fact it stars Samantha Mumba put you off. Just like Ross Noble in Stitches, she fits the film perfectly.

I've seen that one too! Didn't care for it much though to be honest...
