Watched Unhinged (1982)...
Slow moving and some awful acting by the "college girls" but atmospheric....and this one has a great final scene which makes it ok in my book.
A few good kills as well, although I thought at first that the first one was rather clumsily staged (seems the framing is off, more below).
Definitely somewhat influenced by Hitchcock's Psycho.

I watched the UK dvd and the first murder's framing is off it seems.
If you have it,compare it to the clip below.
I wonder if the US dvd has this correctly framed?

[edit] could it be the BBFC wanted this re-framing on the UK dvd?

Yea the ending is superb!
If only the director had put that much effort into the rest of the film.

Yes, Unhinged is very Psycho-esque!

Glad you seemed to enjoy it b, and even though it won't win any prizes as a top slasher, it's still one I can rewatch and enjoy.

As for the reframing issue, it could be BBFC related now that you mention it; I never thought of it like that before.

Man, I love these forums! Haven't seen this thread before, what a shame...

Speaking of Unhinged, what dvd has most extras? Have thought about buying it for a while.

No, but it only generally costs around £1

Weird, I just noticed your posts after I'd edited mine two times.

I don't live in the UK, so will probably order the "IndieDVD" one then... it actually won't be too much of a difference (well, the price)

I'm thinking of picking up the US dvd as well,it has an apparently awful commentary track but will maybe have the correct framing?
I would like to actually everything of the killer (dressed up so nicely) during the first kill!
