I know exactly what you mean if you look at my posts over the last few days picking favourite films of a certain decade you will see plenty if films that may not be technically the best of that year but each one represents a moment in time in my childhood and teenage years. I can remember in detail where I was who I shared the experience with the first time I watched each one of those films.

I paid £150 for the Breaking Bad Barrel set. I don't think I've paid over £20 for a single film though.

This is the most expensive item in the film collection. I paid $150 for this on sale at Suncoast Video.

It was well worth the price due to all the content inside the set.

- Planet of the Apes (Remastered) - DTS (1968)
- Beneath the Planet of the Apes (Remastered) (1970)
- Escape from the Planet of the Apes (Remastered) (1971)
- Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (Remastered) (1972)
- Battle for the Planet of the Apes (Remastered 96 Minute Extended Version) (1973)
- Planet of the Apes - The Complete TV Series (1974)
- Return to the Planet of the Apes - The Complete Animated Series (1975)
- Planet of the Apes - DTS (2001)

This is easy. The one I just recently got and showed in the last bought thread. Robocop Hot Toys thingymajig. It was £220 + £36 for shipping!

Second one that comes to my mind, was the Ultimate Edition briefcase set of the first 20 James Bond films. It kills me that I bought the Nordic version, because for some reason, they left out the awesome mini posters from it. ( *goes check the price from old emails* Well it was 320€.. close to the Robocop price.

I also bought the Special Edition boxset some years before that, but don't remember how much it was.

The blu-ray set that came out a couple of years ago, was a total bargain compared to those. :P

Most expensive Item I think I've ever bought was back in 96 & was the Dawn Of The Dead Director's Cut Laserdisc NTSC 3 Disc Box Set. Remember spending about 80quid on it and being amazed by the picture quality.

Had to hide the credit card bill from my other half though as she'd have gone through the roof me spending that amount on 1 film

I spend all my time trying to pay as little as possible for my Blu-rays and DVDs.

My most expensive blu-ray is easily the Japanese Dawn of the Dead set which cost me £85 and thankfully made it through the customs without further charges.

As for my other collection of 1/6th scale figures most of these cost between £130-£200 and I have 13 so far (plus another 2 pre-ordered) with the dearest being Enterbay's Bruce Lee Game of Death figure which cost just a little more at £230 however with these it's best to get them on release as they soon go up once they go out of stock.

I have also put in a pre-order for the 1/6th scale Delorean (to go with my Marty Mcfly figure) which is released next year, however as this sells for £520 I may cancel if I can talk myself out of getting it by then. For the price, Marty may just have to walk!

Going thru boxes, and I was horrified to see that, about 10 years ago, I paid £39.99 for a second hand copy of 'The Complete Hammer House Of Horror' 4 disc DVD set from Blockbuster video!
