Read through the entire thread, and I forgot how much Bigfoot was a part of the 1970's. Now I was in a Target store the other day and saw the season one of The 6 million dollar man is now on dvd I am not sure if the Bigfoot episode is in season one.
I also recently picked up Box of Bigfoot that was released by CFS.
This thread inspired me to revisit the Bigfoot genre. Also there is quite a few Bigfoot movies on youtube.

That's great news artisturn! This thread is great for sharing bigfoot passions as well as sparking new interests :)

What was the boxset you got? What films are on there?

Came across a book that looks truly fascinating - The Beast Of Boggy Creek it's called and tells the true story behind the sightings that inspired the most classic of Sasquatchploitation, The Legend Of Boggy Creek.

The book's official site - Fouke Monster: The Beast of Boggy Creek - is very cool with plenty of pictures too...

The artwork in the book is by a guy called Justin Osbourn who also designed some Fright Rags tees and the below pic I posted a while back...

Also, if you want an in-depth analysis of the cultural relevance of Bigfoot cinema during the 1970s, I've posted a paper I wrote about this here - Scrutinizing Sasquatch Cinema of the Seventies. (Kyle Daniels) - Academia.edu - it's very detailed, original and I'm very proud of it, so do check it out if you're looking for something interesting to read. :)

Oh and here's some bigfoot pics I came across today, thought I'd share them...

Watched Bill Rebane's Capture Of Bigfoot tonight - the film with the cutest yeti you'll ever see in 70s cinema :p.

Stuck this on after seeing Finding Bigfoot. Anyone been watching this lately? It's very silly and everything seems to be undeniable proof that Bigfoot definetly and absolutely exsists and was responsible for that...apparently. What do you think?

-The Barbaric Beast of Boggy Creek (1985)
- Legend of Bigfoot, The (1976)
- Capture of Bigfoot (1979)

And the set was pretty cheap at $9.99 , I am not sure how the PQ is going to be but for the price I am not expecting great at all.

I'm really enjoying Finding Bigfoot and find it hilarious! Bobo looks like Bigfoot and has probably been mistaken for the beast several times. Got an episode to watch tonight!

Will need to get hold of Boggy Creek as never seen it!

It is just soooo silly! Totally unscientific but who cares?! Its great entertainment! :)

Definetly check out Boggy Creek Darth. It's the Night Of The Living Dead of bigfoot films (kinda) and caused soo much terror when it came out. The sequels (both official and un) are not as good but still worth a check if you can

iluvdvds@Cult Labs 4th June 2012 12:06 PM

Also, what do you guys think of this sighting? It was captured by a couple of kids. At first I wasn't confinced it was genuine but as the video plays it does look pretty true...
