My thoughts exactly.

Off topic briefly, but is Amer any good? I seem to recall a lot of favorable reviews at first but later suggestions it was too derivative of real giallos.

I've owned it for over a year but never bothered to watch it.

Both Amer and The Strange Colour of Your Body's Tears are a homage to gialli, instead being composed of a series of cutaways, edits, dream sequences and images homaging some of the giallo sub-genre's most famous tropes (colour, sound, lighting, sex, death, black gloves, straight razors etc.). Both have linear narratives (sort of) but they're buried beneath a multi-layered entanglement of visual and aural delights. I enjoyed both (I only watched Strange Colour the other night) but they're certainly not for everyone and you may be disappointed - especially if you go in expecting a giallo.

We promoted Amer on here quite extensively when Anchor Bay / Starz released it in the UK so there should be some old threads knocking about somewhere.

Out of curiosity put this in my basket to see how much it'd be with shipping...

Just wait, I'm sure it will be available here soon without stupid shipping costs. I wont be buying this but what a game it is. Best ever.

Hey guys, hope everyone is well around these parts.:) Haven't posted in a long time but I just wanted to say to anyone on the fence about Absurd or Law Unit I fully recommend them both. The packaging for Absurd is insanely cool and Law Unit reminds me of early Carpenter while still retaining their own brand of originality. The vinyl itself is a little on the thin side but that doesn't seem to have an effect on the sound quality.

Visually it's a treat imo, and as someone who is acquainted with the Jesus, the structure of Amer may not be as surprising as you would first think cough;)

Haven't seen TSCOMBT yet. Am hoping to watch it and Duke Of Burgundy together......:)

Has anyone had a goblin recently?

Quote:

The legendary Italian band Goblin recently reformed and went back into the studio to re-record 4 classic tracks exclusively for this EP. Treating the originals with the reverence they deserve but updating them to sound more in line with their current live set up. we couldn t be more thrilled to be exclusively releasing this EP to support their current world tour.
