The worst live band ever? I'm not totally sure, but they definitely suck. His voice out of tune, totally sloppy guitar playing, and - a horrible drummer.

She is not able to keep stroke. Awful, especially with the arrogant look on her face.

The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army

I'm inordinately proud of my kids and their tastes in everything, especially music; my daughter recently went to see "Baby Metal" (a Japanese schooly girl thing) and my son...

...My son likes the stuff that I was listening to (still am, truth be told) when I was 13 to 25. So, for his 21st birthday (today, 'appy birthday son) he decided that we were going to the Madchester Academy for "Hawktoberfest". I'm still reeling from the travel but the gig was excellent: filling in between bands was music selected by that grand old man of rock - "The Crazy DJ World of Arthur Brown", first up were "Evil Blizzard", great fun (, next up was "Senser" - a bit angry and ranty for me, "The Pink Fairies" were brilliant although I was worried for one of the drummers, he looked quite done in.

The main event, of course, was Hawkwind. Excellent as ever with two dancers who put on quite a show

Sounds good Troggi, the last time I saw Hawkwind Arthur Brown was singing for them...bloody awful so it was. What was the set last night?

The last time I saw Hawkwind, circa 1996, they has Stacia back as a dancer!

Arther Brown was the special guest at the Alice Cooper Halloween shows in 2011. In addition to his own set, he also appeared at the end of Alice's set:

As far as I'm aware, this is the only time that Alice has shared the stage with someone else during a proper show - Johnny Depp doesn't count, coz that was a 'fun' Alice show!

The great Arthur was looking, sadly, like a frail old man but was certainly full of life and mischief. As for the legend that is Stacia I saw her as a teenager (me, that is, as a teenager, the other way round would have needed a TARDIS) and I was so alarmed that a certain part of me began to feel like a warm stone!

I was just wondering if it would be ok to start my own gig review thread. There is a lot of gigs coming up here and I have a lot of pics from tonight's Morbid Angel concert. If not I'll post pics here.
