How can you be using it wrong? It just replaces the rubber mat. It shouldn’t affect the sound of the records at all, unless you’re doing hip hop scratches haha

As we already established with my Copland comment I'm not that bright at times so maybe I could be using it wrong it's strange but I can't listen to a record with it maybe it's just a bad mat or something it was the one that came with the primordial record.

I’m wondering if it’s too thick without raising the arm of the player a bit higher. It might be that there isn’t enough force on the stylus and making the records sound weird. Do you have an adjustable turntable? On mine you can raise the height and also the weight on the back of the arm. You need enough downward force to play it correctly but not so much you’re carving new grooves into your records lol.

Also did you remove the standard mat before putting the slipmat on?

Nordy - The record lays on the slip mat. Not the other way round.

Morricone's L'Ultima Diligenza di Red Rock , a new composition that opens The Hateful Eight (2016) is a stunning piece of work. No wonder he won an Oscar for it.
