Just sticking my 2 cents in. Oasis of Fear is one of the best releases to have arrived from Shameless or Arrow. Its an original film that hasn't had releases worldwide previously. I get fed up with companies continuously re-releasing the same films from the same directors in new sleeves. The other top releases in my opinion are. Phantom of Death The Frightened Woman Ratman The Designated Victim Footprints on the Moon Almost Human Four Flies on Grey Velvet |

I said world wide Basically its not a film that Blue Underground, Arrow or anyone else releases every other week with a different picture on the sleeve. |

No, I meant if there is a film that is about to be released in the UK or US for the first time has already had an english friendly euro release, no one says a thing. But when a film that has already been released in the US gets a Euro release everyone starts moaning that it's been out before.

Its probably because everyone (on here) has internet access and can buy them (US releases) at the click of a few buttons from Amazon, or Play etc. Actually going to specialist or foreign sites is more of a hassle for the average punter, i include myself here, is a release English friendly,? whats it actually called in Germany, Italy etc?. Laziness really. I was expecting you to produce a post showing Oasis of Fear in 14 different sleeves from around the world. |

The only reason i'm rather reticent about checking out OOF is that based on the Shameless sleeve synopsis and relevant stills the film is obviously more of an erotically charged Giallo than a traditional one. I've no problem with sexual shenanigans in Spaghetti slashers but i tend to prefer the latter element more than the former. The merciless murderer with mysterious motives cutting up unfeasibly beautiful Eurobabes. I may well be wrong but OOF seems to me to be devoid of said stalk 'n' slash trapping, relying on erotic events and imagery instead. Just my personal preference and i've certainly no complaint with Shameless issuing Lenzi's scarce slice of salaciousness on DVD. The more Italian exploitation the better as far as i'm concerned.

I wouldn't even call it a Giallo (except in the general Italian sense of "thriller"). It's a drama really. And a damned good one.
