And I'll be able to watch the movie from beginning to end when I press play, unlike the Arrow effort!
PaulD likes this.

Does anyone know why they did that?

I doubt it was Arrow's decision, just the only master available at the time have them split into separate films. I could be wrong though.

Yeah, of course, that makes total sense actually. I always forget issues like this are likely to be down to the only materials they could use.

Doesn't matter who's choice it was. It was stupid.

True, and Arrow would probably freely admit it was far from the ideal situation and their preferred format for the film.

That said, I treat the two instalments as different films and, even though I haven't done this yet, could quite easily just watch one of them one day and the other a week later.

Can't say i'll ever watch the Arrow dvd again. For me, automatically going back to the menu after the first story, is unnacceptable. It's one film and should've been presented as such. Arrow really pissed me off releasing it like this tbh. Somebody there needs a slap.

I wonder if both directors shot enough footage to create feature-lengthy versions? I'd love to see a longer Black Cat. I've never really been too fussed about the Romero story though...
