This sounds fantastic and all of the money from the sales will go to 88 Films (even better), perhaps all releases should be exclusive to their website for the first 6 months.

I can understand people wanting stuff for the cheapest price possible, but ordering direct from 88 gives them all the money from the sale instead of Amazon/HMV taking their cut (which seems to be 88 making £1 profit from titles sold in HMV). I'm more than happy to pay that little extra to order direct, get them earlier, and give 88 that bit more to spend on new titles.

The last blurred image is Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals.

As it's featured on Calum Waddell's Eaten Alive documentary, that would make sense. As it's one of the few cannibals films featured on the documentary, its (apparent) release is extremely welcome.

Yep, that's definitely Antro.

Not sure about the other one... looks like there's some jungle/greenery around so it could be another cannibal film (?)

Looks like an SS cap to me.....

Wonder if it is Emanuelle and The Last Cannibals after all? Could be.

But will the BBFC pass it uncut? We all know how much they hate nipple slicing.

I think 88 are doing the right thing they can't operate at a loss, with the titles they put out and their hard work I am sure nobody will begrudge parting with a couple of extra quid they are making sure 88 will be around for a loing time and they get their items up to 10 days early as well. I can't speak for others but I am impatient so for me it all makes sense.

wonder what the release is.

would of prefered absurd over anthro for the nastie but hey at least it wasn't frozen scream, delirium or the devil hunter! :pound:

I'm still curious to know why there titles were so cheap in HMV if they were making such a small profit. Doesn't make any sense, they even advertised HMV's prices on their own FB page.

And here it is...

We promised you a big announcement and here it is... ANTHROPOPHAGOUS will be making its worldwide HD debut fro 88 Films!

Also included in this amazing BluRay debut will be the finally-released feature length documentary 42nd STREET MEMORIES.

We don't expect to have BBFC trouble with ANTHROPOPHAGOUS but we will, of course, keep you posted. For the time being, this title is only available via 88 Films, in a special collector's edition with four postcards featuring art from classic Joe D'Amato movies.

For contractual reasons it will be Region B locked.

As always we appreciate your support:

Edit: Stephen beat me to it.

Do they take payment straight away, or on dispatch?

They posted last week when they put up March's Slashers that the payment gets taken straight away, just like Arrow do. I'd expect the same for Anthropophagus.
