Doubt it. It doesn't say they have any copies available yet. They only have titles in stock when it says how many are available.

Yeah, everyone gets that soon after they place an order. Just means the warehouse has your order details. I got the same ones an hour after ordering River Of Death & Friday Foster yesterday. They did say 3 copies of Foster availble early yesterday, but by the time I orderd it, they were gone.

Demdike@Cult Labs 5th September 2016 02:33 PM

Didn't 88 announce a bunch of sword and sorcery films ages ago?

Ator the Fighting Eagle for one?

What happened to them?

bdc 5th September 2016 07:49 PM

Excited about the Shaw Brothers films...personally I hope they release loads of Shaw horror and exploitation titles. Some of the better wuxia titles would be nice as well.

Interesting that Hex is their first release...wasn't expecting that.
Was thinking it would be Human lanterns or Boxer's Omen. :)
All good though and already putting some money aside.

Cool that they seem to have reversible covers with the original artwork.

Insightful review of Hex:

Hex is only £8.99 on pre-order at Amazon at the moment.

bdc 12th September 2016 10:00 PM

I already pre-ordered,expected Hex to be less popular because it's lesser known than for instance Five Element Ninjas or Black Magic.

That's being released in December.

Not sure when it was originally supposed to be released.

scottsweapon 13th September 2016 09:33 AM

Just checked Facebook page - put back until 12th December.

I think the next two have been put back to December for additional restoration work and extra features:

Demdike@Cult Labs 13th September 2016 09:41 AM

It's only been put back a week. HMV have it's release date as Dec 5th.

HMV are better at doing release date changes, Amazon (where I check) is shit, they wait until after the date has passed and then update it usually after listing it as out of stock

Yes apparently it's due for dispatch in in the next couple of weeks according to Amazon.

JAMIOUSE 13th September 2016 11:27 AM

Don't forget that if you opted for the Slasher perk during the Indiegogo campaign you'll be receiving Prozzie, The First Power and probably The Intruder as part of the five disc pledge.

Yeah, it's not the best Dudikoff, but any is better than none. I know 88 would love to release Avenging Force, but apparently it wasn't available.

The Kino disc looks amazing.
AF is more like the entertaining Canon tripe we all know and love!

ROD tries to take too many elements from other films and never quite welds together......

Hex is still 8.99 on Amazon (pre-order).

Then they rise in price a fortnight later as with BFI, 101, Arrow etc.

Definitely saves to preorder these things.

With 88, definitely. With Arrow I just wait for their sales.

I don't buy enough Arrow sadly.

There's a couple of slasher dual plays i'd like but they have never been in sales yet. The last sale was the same old same old in my eyes.

They have a release date cut-off in their sales whereby they'll include some new titles every time (usually at a £9.99 price point whilst older titles will usually go for £7.99 or £8.99) depending on when they were released. Therefore, if the new titles they've included since the last sale don't interest you it can look very samey... I didn't buy anything from their last sale for instance (although I did pre-order a couple of things to take advantage of the double reward points).

I use the wish-list function on their site too, so whenever they have a sale I just look at my wish-list to see which titles have been reduced. It saves trawling through a load of titles that I either already own or have no interest in.

That's a really good idea – I may do that with the ones I want to cut down on browsing when the next sale rolls around.

Likewise. Been wishing Network would introduce a wishlist because come sales there catalogue is much harder to keep track off.

I've created an Amazon wishlist just for Network, so it's just a cut and paste with the titles to me.

Although i do love browsing through the full lists...might have missed something. ;)

I keep popping films names into the Network thread here in the hopes I'll see them come the next Network sale. A wishlist function would be very handy indeed.

I didn't actually notice the one on Arrow's site before, but I will use it, a couple of titles I keep missing. I just recently noticed I don't have The Honeymoon Killers in my collection. I could swear I bought it, but can't find it, nor any record of me buying it. Arrow generally has a sale this month too, so hopefully I'll plug that gap.
