Just picked up on this thread and realised that I have already added a lot of these titles to my rental list at Lovefilm. I have a tendancy to hunt for the low budget stuff that's available to rent anyway as you can often find a few gems amongst them.

Tremble with excitement, here's a link to the Cult Labs Myspace where you can view all the trailers for the next batch.

http://su.pr/29BspS

Have a gander, then come back and rate the trailers.

Brutally honest?

"Awaken the Dead"? No no...bad. Bad in so many ways.

"Curse of the Wolf"? well it looked good when no one was speaking.

"Hell House"? Hard to tell as most of the trailer was just writing.

"Bachelor Party"? No no...bad. Bad in so many ways.

"Fist of the Vampire"? Nice idea! Er....Nice idea.

"Taste of Flesh"? Ahhh. Not bad. Looks nice 'n' skuzzy 'n' nasty. Amazing what the BBFC pass nowadays.

May get "Taste".

Hello Beardyfreak.

Your page has been around for a long time hasn't it? I'm sure it was your site that I kept bookmarked as a reference when I was systematically collection the Video Nasties list a few years ago.

Thanks for the input by the way. These films are maybe more perspiration than inspiration, but we've watched a batch of them now and we we're consistently entertained, albeit often for the wrong reasons, but then, that's what low budget trash is for sometimes. A lot of laughs and the odd sensational gem.

It has been around for a while, on and off, about 8 years or so.

Yeah...It is good that indy films get a release so the DVD's are very welcome.
And hats off to who gets their films made and out there. Respect.

But I have a hard time with modern Indy horror films. I dislike camcorder usage (cheap, easy, so I understand why) as it always looks flat, bland and cheap and wish people made good old 16mm flicks still.

And i have a hard time with much of the acting in these (the girl in "Curse of the Wolf" was dreadful) and yet I'm a huge Andy Milligan fan, which should mean this acting is no problem at all...
But there is a huge difference in what's classed as 'bad acting', and whereas the actors in Miligan films, or John Waters films (GODS ALL!!!!), just have that delightful something, that streak of shining gold running through them, actors in these modern indy films simply don't have any of that.

But hey, still glad to see these released, hope hey sell bucket loads and i will probably get "Taste".
