Could well be.

It makes it a smash and grab purchase if we think that only one company has only one copy.

Things are tough all over for distributors.


Midnight legacy just posted on facebook to say their considering withholding their releases until the market looks better. Apparently they had some troubles getting the discs into stores. Apparently the fan base is not there any more....

I know that there has been a serious decrease in genre film sales in the US.
It's bewildering really,luckily the European fans are still buying these releases.

There's only a few independent US companies that are still releasing older genre films nowadays it seems.

I suspect it has a lot to do with lack of disposable income, when your struggling to pay the bills I suspect you must step back and think do I REALLY need night of the demon.

perhaps VOD or pay to download may be the way of the future
