Hammer on DVD/BD Thread

I've got a VHS player and i've tried to fix it, take the lid off and clean out dust etc.
Last time was about 2 years ago, it worked for about 10 minutes and then chewed the tape up, still connected to an older TV.
There's a Tv programme on one of the channels about fixing old retro tech, keep waiting for 'em to do a VHS machine, they've done a Spectrum and some other stuff, but never what you want.

Ouch.

That's something i don't have. Anything to use as a tester cassette that's in effect a sacrificial lamb.

Gonna print some of these out, so at least I get the full mood now I can't play them anymore.

I've got a few "sacrificial lamb" tapes, just stuff i've replaced on dvd or blu, nothing special.

"Today I have been watching HD versions of two old Hammer favourites in preparation for doing audio commentaries next week with my old pal Alan Jones. We did separate solo commentaries for Nightmare and Paranoiac and agreed that these were a nightmare and made us paranoid, so we are joining forces for a fun double-header. I'm really looking forward to them actually. They are for the Aussie Umbrella label and our pal Mark Hartley"

They're being very cryptic with these posts just tell us what the films are lol.

When do Umbrella do their announcements? Hopefully it's something that hasn't already been licensed in the UK so we might get to hear it too.

Old favourites are always welcome, although very high probability of my already having them, but I confess I really preferred it to be two obscure ones...

On reflection, not sure if they qualify as old favourite (they do for me) but Dracula AD 1972 and Satanic Rites of Dracula would be great. I never purchased the bare-bones Warner Archive releases, hoping for somethign a little "meatier". Maybe this is it!
