I was completely disappointed when I looked at this thread.Imagine my surprise when I found out it wasn't a thread devoted to Fred Williamson

LOVE that film!

These Sony Hammer Icons... sets seem quite essential! I didn't know they existed! Pity about the cuts in the Icons Of Adventure set, I'm quite keen to see Stranglers Of Bombay again.

Roll on post-Blu Ray financial improvement!

The Stranglers Of Bombay restores the BBFC video cut but the cinema cuts are still missing (though the footage still exists). Terror Of The Tongs is also the cut print and the cuts may no longer survive.

At least the two Pirates films are intact.

Yep, worth £12 just for two nice 'scoped prints of the Pirates, I reckon.

They've got pretty interesting commentary tracks too.
The uncut "Blood River" is a very nice thing to have.

Great fun film. I preferred it to Devil Ship Pirates.

PARANOIAC (1963) was passed by the BBFC with a '12' classification today http://www.bbfc.co.uk/website/Classi...e?OpenDocument .I have it in the old 8 movie Hammer boxset from Universal though. It was submitted by Eureka,so hopefully they have the rights to more Hammer movies.I'd love to know who owns the rights to Satanic Rites Of Dracula in the UK as it's obvious Warners don't or they would've released it years back obviously.I have the old OOP Anchor Bay disc but it's about time it was re-issued in a better version.

I've only got the uncut TV showing of Paranoiac (not a fan of this one) though I might pick up the UK DVD eventually.

Satanic Rites Of Dracula is one of my favourite Hammer Dracula films and long overdue a UK DVD release. Some of the overseas releases of this seem decidedly dubious too.
