The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is silly and entertaining. Eaten Alive is silly and boring. Tastes differ. |

It doesn't even set out to achieve what the original did. It has it's tongue firmly planted in it's cheek and to a certain extent, takes the piss from it's predecessor. Yeah give us EATEN ALIVE-Cracking Hooper number and much forgotten next to it's peers. Obviosly, nothing less than the below will do as the reverse.....;) |
I like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 but watch it pretending it has nothing to do with the 1974 masterpiece and is, more or less, a stand-alone film. It's completely crackers and quite good fun in a mindless way. In any case, just about any film involving a chainsaw battle like an old fashioned swordfight between two of the main protagonists is worth watching! |

Really don't rate Eaten Alive, looked dingy, cheap and stage bound, rather watch Lenzi's cannibal effort TBH:lol::lol:, but that's based on the Vipco disc... so maybe. |
1 Attachment(s) Wee tip Plas.....don't base on on that Vipco disc mate. The woman below should have did an introduction on it.... |
I loooooove TCM 2, but I'm one of the rare few that enjoys maybe 3 scenes at most of the original, and otherwise find it quite boring and underwhelming. In order to upset people further, I absolutely love The Lost Boys, but am yet to Near Dark In more in topic news: Those who missed Stray Cat fear not, as Arrow have commented that the set will see a US release, they just don't have a date yet. |
