As far as I can see everything that was reduced, still is. I ordered I Wish and A Simple Life, but the Arrow Video and Academy special offers still seem on to me.

They went up for a couple of days when the sale was supposed to end, but then everything went back on sale and still is

Okay. I'll have another look at the things I was interested in.

Yeah, Arrow told me that both this & The Wild Geese would be re-released in the new packaging without the bonus films (no big loss. If I want them, i'll get the Arrowdrome dvds).

In the case of Who Dares Wins, it was because the new cover is listed on Amazon. We knew it would be coming, it was just that no-one knew when.

Thanks for that Stephen. I don't feel as left out now:)

Noticed a new cover for Caligula on the Arrow site too.

At present, I don't have the money or space to double dip as much as I'd like, which is a shame.

Me either tbh, which is why I'm selling the limited editions (and before people ask, I already have a home for the ones i'll be replacing).

I'd keep the limited edition BDs and buy the new releases as well!

trebor8273 4th January 2014 10:50 PM

It's like they might be replacing everything with the new covers.

They are. Everything they still have the rights to will be replaced. Some with the same features, some with less, depending on wether they still have the rights, or if extras are on other discs or released on their own like the bonus films on Who Dares Wins & The Wild Geese.

Don't think I will be replacing everything, will probably get who dares wins and wild geese old editions before they go for the extra movies

Hawkmonger 4th January 2014 11:03 PM

The only instance I wont be getting the newer editions is if I already own the slipcase edition or if the older editions have an extra disc of extras.

Any idea when the next batch if announcements will be?

fuzzymctiger 5th January 2014 03:39 AM

I need to track down
Frankenhooker
Exterminator
City Of The Living Dead
In slipcases before they get really hard to find

Going to pick up Vamp and Red Scorpion as they'll be going soon

And if I see them I'll pick up Caligula and Battle Royale in slipcases, but both have already been replaced before this wave and aren't too hard to find.

Linbro 5th January 2014 06:00 AM

Fuzzymctiger, I bought a few Arrow slipcase editions of this local ebay seller - i_am_shellybell on eBay
Not sure what she has at the moment.
Lincoln.

trebor8273 5th January 2014 09:12 PM

Noticed amazon have a new black Sunday listed with slightly different cover, like all the new stuff gone is the white, think this is why sale has been prolonged to get rid of the old stock on arrows site

The limited run of this one is an interesting move by Arrow... I wonder if they'll do the same thing with Hellgate (?) 1000 copies might be a bit ambitious for that one though ;)

Ordered. £9.79 with my rewards points. Can't complain at that. Using the video release poster on the reverse. Don't think the theatrical poster would've fit the BD cover.

BAKA 6th January 2014 02:55 PM

I still have mined pre-ordered from the old site at £9.99, along with Hellgate too (Why did I do it?). I wonder why they've made them both limited to 1,000 copies each. Curious.

J Harker 6th January 2014 05:55 PM

I don't mind the limited to a 1000 idea on a particular edition but simply limiting basic release to a 1000 I find a bit annoying.

Hawkmonger 6th January 2014 05:58 PM

Me to. Im only really interested in Hell Comes to Frotown but i might give Hellgate a try is its under a tenner.

J Harker 6th January 2014 07:03 PM

If it was a limited edition in terms of packaging then at least if I don't get it in time there's always the standard one.
It's a case of I want it but there's other stuff I want more.

trebor8273 6th January 2014 07:04 PM

Maybe there not expecting many sales on those two, hence limited numbers?

They were deemed only good enough as Arrowdrome dvds until they were told there were HD masters available. So that would seem to be the case with the limited numbers.
