My box arrived yesterday. Unfortunately it's away on the Polar Express.....:( |
|
Just a shame there's nothing I really want, I've bought most of the releases I desire already in previous sales or new on release. |
Strange that the reward points don't seem to work properly. If I try using 1000 points, I only get £8.86 deducted from the price, instead of £10. :mmph: Edit: Using 1, 2, 3 or 4 points works normally. If you enter 5 or more, it starts screwing with you. :p |
The bundle offer is nice, but a real shame Shivers and Stray Cat aren't included, as I wanted them most. Will probably just grab two bundle and the Qatsi set, now only if work could get their shit togther and pay me |
Some decent offers there, especially in the bundle (3 for £20) section, which will require some discipline! |

Bought a steel book first, got double points, then 3 bundles and got nothing. Finally i bought a stand alone item (eligible for the bundle offer) and got double reward points for it. |

I was just about to go to Amazon!!!!!! |

As I bought The Key when it was £4.99, I'm tempted by the Tinto Brass films (Cheeky, All Ladies Do It, Frivolous Lola) as a bundle. |

I was originally going to buy Branded To Kill, Lisa and The Devil and Mark of The Devil but after watching The Conformist on Netflix tonight I think I might add that to my collection and go for a distinctly world cinema bundle deal (Lisa, Branded and The Conformist) |
I went for these: The Burbs steelbook - £9.99 3x 3 for £20 Bound Branded to Kill Porky's The Delta Force Theatre of Blood White of the Eye Brute Force Night of the Comet Mark of the Devil Would have gone for only 2 bundles, but I was 1 pence short of free shipping... :tsk: |
The checkout with the bundle offer seems a little overcomplicated, buying the bundle and then choosing the titles afterwards rather than buying three titles and having a discount applied at checkout. |

Your selection has been recorded and will be added to your order shortly. Please allow up to 24 hours for this to happen If you experience any problems relating to this redemption route please email arrow@order-support.co.uk quoting your account email address and the orderid you are trying to redeem. I don't have to do anything after I get this message do I. |
From memory, what I did was: 1) Log in to the Arrow shop 2) Add 'bundle selection' to shopping list 3) Add second 'bundle selection' to shopping list 4) Proceed to checkout, and check out as normal (i.e enter payment details, shipping address etc) 5) Wait/check e-mail 6) Receive 'normal' Arrow purchase e-mails (i) Receipt for Your Payment to ARROW FILM DISTRIBUTORS, ii) Order number (noting order for two bundles, but not giving option for specific titles), iii) E-mail containing link to follow to choose titles, iv) Updated order number, containing titles The first e-mail I received was timed at 3:28pm, and the final one was timed at 5:20pm Oh - it also seems like I have signed up to Paypal, which I didn't want to do, but there didn't seem to be any way to avoid this Hope this info helps. If my explanation is a bit confusing, I'm sure someone else will be able to explain it better (For the record, the titles I ordered were: 'Blind Woman Curse', 'Killer Klowns', 'The Stuff', 'Mark Of The Devil', 'Bound' and 'Night Of The Comet') |
Given how much some of these website design firms charge to add in special features like an automatic 3 for £20 offer, it would probably cost them more to add in this feature than they made during the sale! |

Six Gothic Tales back up to £65.33 on Amazon, good job Santa secured my copy yesterday when they were £58 ;). Now i just need them to do a better job of packing it than Arrow did with my copy of Nekromatic  |
Has anyone got Arrow Conformist Blu. Searched for a review and it appears it isn't actually a very impressive release (that'll teach me not to do my research!) and that the best presentation is from a Japanese release. |

It's a good rather than great transfer, but it's perfectly decent and comes with one of the best commentaries I've ever heard. It's frankly worth buying just for that. |

I've been selling these to replace them with the 'full frontal' artwork... Anyone bought Lisa and the Devil or Class of Nuke em High? |

I ordered Nuke Em High the other day, but from Amazon. |
Full frontal? |
Or were you clothed?:behindsofa: |

As for the set itself, it is absolutely wonderful. Each dvd is in a proper amary case ( no slim line cases here ) and the boxset itself is sturdy. As for the hardback book, it really is a thing of beauty. Although I've only seen two of the films themselves ( the first two individual releases - which I flogged to fund this set ) I think it's safe to say this is a strong contender for release of the year. |

It is a rather surreal and languorous horror title in true Italian tradition. The whole film is designed with the texture of a dream. |
