i wonder if they are being a bit wary of trying to compete with Dawn of the Dead and maybe Covid has affected some of their tent-pole releases? Anyhow there is a couple here I'll pick up down the line in a sale. |

Now they either release mainstream stuff i don't mind but see little need of recieving the bells and whistles treatment or stuff that is just, to me at least, too obscure to blind buy. Last thing i bought of theirs was American Werewolf in London. Last edited by J Harker; 31st July 2020 at 06:13 PM. |

I think they are trying to come up with the unexpected, which is great, but I just wish they would sort out some crowd pleasers once in a while. Halloween II would have been one for the fans in an October line up, and I'll always hold out hope for The Blob or In the Mouth of Madness. None have UK BD releases. There have been a few hits this year, but the misses are outweighing them. But, also think this is the case with 88, 101 and Indicator though. Just a slow year all round, for obvious reasons. |

Yeah. I know some people are defending arrow claiming different tastes, blaming covid and so on. But so far this year I've only buying pitch black new. I did buy the wind and deadly manor second hand but then realized why I havent heard of them before and quickly sold them on. I would like gamera but cant justify the box set cost. Arrows line up has continued to get worse over time. I look at 88 and while I know there's some grumbling about less horror they've certainly had more variety and trying to appease everyone. Looking at what them and eureka announced yesterday are a much better line up then this. |

I agree its been quite slow year for Arrow but still some very good release e.g. Jodorowsky and a lot of the less well known releases i'm happy to pick up in sales. 88 for me have always been the cheap and cheerful cousins so if they have had a down turn i haven't really noticed. Eureka, I think have had a fairly good year considering they are not a specialist genre outfit. And can't agree that Indicator are under-performing either - again they are not really a genre/horror outfit but their releases have been top quality in that department e.g. Night Tide.
