I've got close to 40. Started when they ere still doing the singles so I have a bunch of those still that got paired together.

I'd recommend

The Attic / Crawlspace (OOP)
Chosen Survivors / The Earth Dies Screaming
Count Yorga, Vampire / The Return of Count Yorga
The Incredible 2-Headed Transplant / The Thing with Two Heads (hilarious!)
The Monster That Challenged the World / It! The Terror from Beyond Space (For It!)
Panic in Year Zero! / The Last Man on Earth (both graet films!)
Psych-Out / The Trip (OOP) (even though they're cut versions)
War-Gods of the Deep / At the Earth's Core (Two childhood movies of mine - War Gods has a different UK title.. can't remember)
What's the Matter with Helen? / Whoever Slew Auntie Roo?

There are some other singles though that were never reissued:

Angry Red Planet
Man From Planet X
I Bury The Living
Island Of Dr Moreau
Planet Of The Vampires
Reptilicus
Donovan's Brain
Killer Clowns From Outer Space
Mars Needs Women

can't remember if there were more.

Food Of The Gods and Witchfinder General were the last singles they released.

I'm working my way slowly. Sold some a few years ago and buying them back too, one of which was Comedy Of Terrors which has held it's price. I figured I'd sell it because the UK versions were anamorphic but I'll probably end up getting it again sometime as it's leaving a hole. Some have either gone back in print or stocks have resurfaced. Recently bought Psych-Out sealed for $5 and that used to go for about $30-$40.

I just can't bring myself to buy the Frankie Avalon or Pirates ones though.

I'd recommend Strange Invaders / Invaders from Mars. I got rid of it a while ago. Should really see if I can pick up another copy.

Strange Invaders / Invaders from Mars
Chosen Survivors / The Earth Dies Screaming

Yeah, there was a lot of forgotten gems released on Midnite Movies.
Fox,since taking over MGM's titles, seem to have kaboshed the range though...:mmph:

BRING IT BACK PLEASE!

My just viewed House on Skull Mountain / Mephisto Waltz 2 dvd is from Fox Midnite Movies rather than MGM, they have switched logos about. They possibly may re release them all like this

How could I forget The Man With X-Ray Eyes?!!!

That was another of the early singles and absolutely essential!

yeah, that was a good year for MM because They combined Fox and MGM titles together so we got a nice healthy lot. Rumour is that they didn't sell too well though and I personally think the line is now dead in the water, sadly. :(

Seems like most catalogue titles from MGM are now destined for their MOD DVD-R line now in the U.S.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 21st March 2011 06:24 PM

Yep,an absolute must.
Probably sells for :loco: money now!
