Weekly Comp - THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE WEIRD - 29/05/09
Afternoony people! Let's get down to it, eh. So this week, you luvly people can win.... THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE WEIRD "ONE OF THE MOST GENUINELY FUN AND INVENTIVE MOVIES TO HIT THE SCREEN IN QUITE SOME TIME." – FILM4.COM Directed by Kim Ji-woon (whose 2003 horror hit "A Tale Of Two Sisters" has recently been remade as "The Uninvited") the action-packed, hyper-kinetic homage to Sergio Leone's classic spaghetti westerns, THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE WEIRD comes to DVD and Blu-ray in June riding a wave of critical acclaim that saw the Daily Mirror calling it "a fistful of fun" and MTV hailing it as being "everything that the latest Indiana Jones flick should have been." A smash hit box office sensation in South Korea, the "oriental western" THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE WEIRD is a unique and hugely enjoyable ride through a genre you think you may have seen before, but never quite like this. Full of jaw-dropping action set-pieces that knowingly reference the works of directors such as Sergio Leone, Sam Peckinpah and Steven Spielberg, amongst others. "Dazzling" (Time Out), "thrilling" (Q Magazine) and "fantastic" (Guardian Guide), this genre-hopping action-comedy is a blast from start to finish. THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE WEIRD (SPECIAL EDITION) will be released as a two-disc DVD (£19.99) and single disc Blu-ray (£24.99) by Icon Home Entertainment on 1st June 2009. Special Features include: "Running Fast" – making of featurette; "The Good, The Bad, The Weird And The Vicious" (interview with the director and cast); "Analogue" (cinematography, lighting, action sequences, sound); "Space" (production design, costumes, set decoration); deleted scenes with optional director's commentary; alternate endings (with multi angles); trailers. and wahey! To win this brilliant prize, I've decided to do something different again. Instead of me asking the questions, each of you will! Wahey! Now, all you need to do is ask a horror film related question (such as who directed this, or whats the tagline, stuff like that - nothing to hard and pedantic!) then, the first person to answer that question CORRECTLY has to ask a question, and then so on and so on. Of course, you can't answer your own question - that would be cheating The three winners will be the three people who have answered (and therefore asked) the most questions. Hope that makes sense Good luck!
