There's a never ending search going on for materials of obscure and supposedly lost films.
The fan community also plays a big role in this. ;)

I think people are a bit misguided,not knowing...

I think people are a bit misguided,not knowing that you can't release a bd or even a good dvd of many films.
Why?
Because no decent materials exist anymore/can be found.
