I believe that it was made for Italian TV and was then shortened and given a theatrical release. I suppose that the longer TV version would probably be more coherent.

I'd forgotten about that one! As you say the image quality is very good. There is no mention of English subtitles on the packaging or the menus though, so you have to select English subtitles once...

The DVD has an anamorphic widescreen transfer and I would say that the quality is quite good. I think that the subtitles may be fixed on DVD players though, although they can be turned off if viewing...

The guy that I buy them from says the DVD will cost £26 and the Blu Ray £28. He should be taking delivery of the Blu Ray very soon and already has the DVD version in stock.
