One day we'll have a 'Shameless Kidz' sub-label. I want to get kids in early to giallos etc before their minds get corrupted with MTV and chewing gum.

My (as yet unborn) children will have one to match mummy's! In fact, my fave childhood rental should be a Shameless release. It's horrific enough.

If someone can, please let me see Return to Oz by Shameless standards!

My kids get to watch these already.....far less violent than any Disney dvd they've got.....:jest:

Sarah@Cult Labs 4th July 2008 07:29 AM

Thanks for that Trench... You've made my day! Have to say, Return to Oz is so mental that Shameless probably could release it!

the frightening side of all this is that retailers would congratulate us on finally seeing sense and releasing films they can sell easily.

My isn't Ted Danson looking fresh there? Couldn't get used to his shock of white hair in Damages.

Nice.

Does the 18 rating mean that there has been some uncut 'restored footage' found?! :eyebrows:

Kyle 17th November 2009 08:58 PM

Like her film 'Fear' but better still...

vincenzo 18th November 2009 12:02 PM

I thought Freeway was excellent.

Almar@Cult Labs 18th November 2009 12:08 PM

Damn fine film, Whalberg needs to play more psycho-teen roles; I don't care if he's nearly 40 (is 40?).

Almar@Cult Labs 18th November 2009 12:20 PM

It's the kind of tight, efficient trashy, but well-made thriller that seems all too rare these days or am I not being observant?

Philleh 18th November 2009 12:31 PM

I don't think I've seen a film feature a roller-coaster fingering since Fear... shame.

They certainly don't make them like that anymore sir.

Almar@Cult Labs 18th November 2009 01:00 PM

No they don't - anyway after that little happy bubble better get back to the topic - Reese Witherspoon sleeves!

So we are all going to find out if the carpet matches the drapes or not?

Dissolvedpaul 20th February 2011 02:52 AM

Hey I have to say, if the "Three men and a baby" Shameless cover was modified enough so Ted Danson was up to his neck in sand and coughing salty water and there was a cardboard ghost in the background, I'd be fooled enough to shell out some cash. :)

It's an 18, Nos? Have Shameless unearthed Argento's cut of Grease 2?

BTW - Maxwell's best role was in the chilling Boys Next Door, he's very convincing as a psychopath. Much better than his stint in BBC's Casualty.

This is a special rebuild of Grease 2 including a previously unseen section with Michelle Pfeiffer and Olivia Newton-John taking part in a Sapphic love scene before moving on to taking baseball bats and Samurai swords to each other. I don't even think Quentin Tarantino could conceive of such a scene.

Tarantino, no - but the love child of Miike and Franco? Definitely! :D

(The Spanish distributor could also splice in some unauthorised hardcore footage between Caulfield and Pfeiffer  )

It's a little-known fact that Takashi Miike was asked to be a script supervisor on Grease 2 but turned it down to work on his own projects.

That would be the intention, yes. We can all hope for an uncut release, but you know how those guys at Soho Square feel about gratuitous singing.

mr 420 3rd March 2011 04:31 PM

Might be worth going for the full uncut import with 'scenes not fit for the cinema' then?:)
