Yes, The Pact is an inspired splicing of serial killer thriller and good old fashioned spook show. You get cops and psychics. Gore and kitchen appliances flying across the kitchen. There’s a twisted, evil creep with cold dead eyes and no soul and a disembodied soul throwing the furniture about.
The Pact has all the jumps, scares and bluffs that a good supernatural movie requires and a twitching, nerve-shredded psychic straight out of Poltergeist central casting but there’s something even darker lurking beneath the genre box ticks that makes the movie stand out.
