Default Nicholas Cage - The Downfall

As we all know Nicholas Cage has been starring in everything that has come is way recently. So what I want to know is where did the downfall begin of him starring in everything?

Should he be straight to DVD by now?

Last one of his films i seen was Drive Angry and that was great so i dont think its all down hill for him. Ups and downs but by no means a constant downward spiral.

Agree with you both here. I also really liked Season of the Witch.

In all honesty i don't agree with BoF's opening statement at all.

Me neither, I think he gets a lot of unnecessary criticism. I can think of plenty of other actors that are thought of as Gods on here that I think would be better off serving me my sausage & egg Mcmuffin meal on a Thursday morning after the school run

He is still making good films with interesting filmmakers - Bad Lieutenant. Frozen Ground, the recent Dying of the Light which is directed by Paul Schrader...

I don't think he's fallen out of favour, just that he has always been someone who pursued eclectic material - it was incredibly bizarre that he was ever inducted into the mainstream anyway.

Some of the stuff he has made of late is bad though.

If the worst happens he can always fall back on his Elvis Presley impressions, and pissing off Kathleen Turner
Seriously tho, he seems to be doing fine, stuff like Drive Angry suit him really well, but like a jar of Marmite you either like him or think he's a twonk, with little or no middle ground.
