Now that sounds interesting !

Finally got to read Judge Dredd Complete Case Files Vol. 8. "Dredd Angel" and "City of the Damned" are great stories, loved it. Some nice shorter stuff like "Hunter's Club" is appreciated as well.
However, I seriously get bored by Ron Smith's artwork. But as far as I get it, the period where Ron Smith pencilled the great mayority of Judge Dredd will soon be over

If you ever have the spare pennies I highly recommend The Royals. One of the most inventive super hero comics out their.

I'm a huge Ron Smith fan, but the sheer amount of work he did on Dredd between 1979 and 1985 was insane and often drowns out other artist. Mind you, no one draw's a giant mutant spider like Ron Smith.

Oh, I forgot One-Punch Man volume two was out on kindle this week! Just bought that as well.

The Maxx #7 - Hey look, Pitt. Never read Pitt before. I heard it wasn't very good. This was enjoyable as usual tough.

The Royals: Masters of War #4 - Still bloody good fun. Enjoying this tour of the world super powered monarchies.

No WSJ. Was hoping for an annual but nope.

2000AD prog 1880: Slaine really is hitting the right notes at the moment. Feels like good old fashioned cletic barabrianism and not some shitty war comic.

Claymore 24: Awesome! God I love this manga.

Good stuff!

Apart from my ongoing mission to get a complete overview of Judge Dredd
– now I am at Vol. 9 of the Complete Case Files – I recently picked up the first two volumes of this for 1 Euro:

The Girl Who Would Be Death (Volume) - Comic Vine

Very interesting stuff!

2000AD prog 1881: Glen Fabry cover aised this was a top form prog. Dredd, Slaine and Indigo Prime hit all the right notes (love the giant taking a piss rather awkwardly in front og Slaine!), The 3Thriller was very god as well and Outlier is proper pulp fun.

The Royals: masters of War #4: I know I said I got it last week but the solicitations where mixed up. I shipped this week instead. Anyway, it's really cool. Everyone should be reading it.

Mars Attacks First Born #1: New series from Sam Kieth, creater of The Maxx! This was jolly good fun and should prove a fun addition to my monthly catalogue.

Weekly Shonen Jump #24: Toriko can be seriously ****ed up at times. Only in this manga can a man scare a floating severed head made of tofu to death by transforming into a grotesque demon. It's bloody funny to!

2000AD prog 1882: Slaine wrap-around cover by Simon Davis is a ****ing work of art!

Saga #19
: It's back! Hooray! Love this series and can't wait for the current arc to begin in earnist!

Weekly Shonen Jump #25: The Vandenreich finally bring down Kenpachi in Bleach despite losing Gremmy. Art this week was phenomenal.

I also managed to get the first two Cerebus phonebooks by Dave Sim for a belting £5! Mu-ass-ive they are and beautiful to behold, if a bit creased and brown around the edges. But then again, they where published twenty years ago!

I picked up a bit of a bargain in a local charity shop, a bundle of 7 "Batman" TPs at £2 each. The bundle included;
  • "The Long Halloween"
  • All 5 volumes of "No Man's Land"
  • Volume 3 of "Knightfall" (old issue)
All are in great condition and a great read, especially "No Man's Land." I've managed to get volume 1 of "Knightfall" (old issue) but if anyone has volume 2 for sale or trade I'd be very grateful as it is quite expensive on Amazon!

2000AD prog 1883: Start of new Dredd thriller, Trauma Town. Looks superb! And Mr. Carroll on script duties is always a treat.

2000AD Summer Special 2014: Not read this yet but looks awesome! New Orlok material!

Godzilla Rulers of Earth #12: Gojira battles Manda, Titanosaurus and Gezorah (really!?) and crashes down on the sub-terranians. Fun comic!

Trees #1: Like many, I was rather excited for this. Looks like it's gonna be sweet!

Weekly Shonen Jump #26: All You Need is Kill's penultimate chapter! I cry oceans of tears! It will be much missed. But yay! The return of HunterXHunter!

Spooks v.1: Recent Belgium series released her by Cinebooks. Old western with vampires and ghosts.

Jojos Bizarre Adventure v.1: WTF IS UP WITH THIS SERIES IT'S TO DAMN GOOD!!!!!
