Why is she you getting to give it her own daughter, surely that's a bit cowardice?

Oh no - it's an important letter, but landlady works shifts as a paramedic, and tomorrow she is doing 06:00 - 18:00, and if she waits until she gets home, we won't be able to drop it into the council offices until Monday at the earliest, and time is of the essence

Etiquette dictates that daughter has to see the letter before the council do!
