Why haven't Shameless released any new Blu-ray Discs in nearly 2 years? Very disappointing as I stopped buying DVDs years ago and it does own some films I'd love in HD.

At a guess, it is zoned to two things: money (DVDs are still selling and profit margins are even smaller with Blu-ray) and available materials (not all films have suitable source materials for a HD transfer).

I understand that but those issues aren't stopping several other smaller labels from releasing several BDs such as Scream Factory, Scorpion Releasing, Arrow, Vinegar Syndrome, etc. Heck, even Code Red just started releasing on the format.

I would have actually thought that by now, 2 years on, Blu's are cheaper to manufacture and profit margins have risen. Many smaller companies (even Code Red and Scorpion!) have ventured into Blu territory and seem to be surviving quite well.

Agree. For me no blu Ray no buy, the type of films they release and there customer base blu ray is the way to go, most people who buys these films love movies and most will have a blu ray and prefer it over DVD. Makes no sense not to bring stuff out on blu, the money's there now for niche titles etc.
