If you like Where Eagles Dare and The Dirty Dozen then this is for you.

One of the classic "men on a mission" movies.

Does this release use the same master as the German blu-ray as that had extensive restoration from original materials and the transfer is stunning.

I only wish Wild Geese 2 would finds its way to blu ray

Not all at mate, I simply don't do DVD anymore so they all had to go.
After getting into blu-ray I tend to think of DVD in the same regard these days as video cassettes.

It would be one I will certainly get on blu when the time eventually comes but I've never understood all the hatred for the film.

Granted it wasn't a patch on the first but I thought it was still a decent movie.

Neither have I but, as Reaps and Stephen have given it the thumbs up, that's something which shall be remedied as soon as a review disc is available!

I've no idea, but I'll ask and find out if Arrow are willing to part with trade secrets!

We've had word from Arrow HQ to let you all know Arrow are using the same source as the German BD but, as this release will use a different master and a different encode, there will be subtle differences.

The main difference between the two will be the opening title sequence as this will have the restored English opening rather than the German opening title sequence.

Arrow are putting a great deal of time and effort into this release and, to use their words, "ours will look stunning".
