Do you think we will actually ever see this released? Warner have been promising to release it every year now for who knows how long yet cancel it again weeks after the announcement. It's ridiculous. I don't see any reason why they can't just release it and have done, then everyone will be happy.

Ken Russell is very underrated, he deserves more recognition for his work. They should release (or re-release) his films on deluxe edition DVD's etc, maybe limited to certain amounts as I don't know how well they would sell these days but there are definitely still people that would want them.

It's been on & off for years. I still think there's a while to go yet alas.

One of the best British films of all time in my opinion.

Absolutely.
Altered States,Crimes of Passion and Lair of the White Worm all need decent platters.
However,THE DEVILS is the pinnacle of one Maverick's fascinating career.

Would Shameless/Arrow not be willing to release some of his films?

I could never get on with Altered States but Crimes Of Passion was great fun with a rampantly wild Anthony Perkins ("Hmm, go f*** yourself. Not a nice thing to say to a man of the cloth").

Women In Love and The Music Lovers are brilliant.

Yeah forgot about Women in Love.Another bare-bones affair.

What other headbanger could get Ollie Reed and Alan Bates to wrestle in the buff?

The same headbanger who got a nude Richard Chamberlain to climb a train carriage curtain, and a dirt-covered Glenda Jackson to squat on an open floor grating while lunatics underneath attempt to fondle her through her garments.

Welcome to Ken's World.
