The use of Blue lighting in Madman also remains a nice touch imo. I feel this visual highlight gives the film quite a cool look. I also think the movie's kills aren't bad either. Nothing to worry Jason Voorhees of course, but a solid selection of slaughter nonetheless. The moment where one male opens up a cupboard door and switches on the light only to find Madman Marz waiting with one of his clawed hands to tear out his victim's throat is an admirable attempt to jolt the audience imo. I admit i don't believe Madman is talked about as much as other memorable slashfests of the era such as The Burning and the Friday the 13th saga. But Joe Giannone's low-budgeter remains a minor gem imo. Not a perfect film, but certainly no waste of celluloid either.:) |
Whoops thought I read Mad Men when I came on here :P |
Yeah old Marz was always gonna come runner up to Jason,Michael,Freddy,Cropsy and Ghostface..... Sounds like the Jackson Five! |

I reckon Madman Marz would totally make Mincemeat outta Ghostface.:tongue1: No sickeningly self-referential and horribly hip teenage psychos here! It's old school movie maniacs all the way, baby!;):) |
