As this threads also about Savini, has anyone seen Pharaoh's of Pittsburgh.? (think thats what its called) I was just wondering if there were any standout fx scenes in that by him as i've never seen it.

Maybe in the sequel he could use a hedge trimmer or some other new fangled gardening tool. Things have moved on a bit in the gardening world since then I'm sure.

yeah, sorry for getting off this subject.
i hope there is not a remake or sequel to this classic!
although a remake would make the original even better as many remakes dont live up to the originals.
a 3d version,that i would like to see!

A sequel would have been great...in the 80's. But now I wouldn't hold my breath for it being good.

He must be a fair age now,old Cropsy,Blob.
He'd need one of those gardening kneeling pads mate!

How about a sequel, with Cropsy doing in Alan Titmarsh?

We could also get Charlie 'Wet duffel coat' Dimmock to do the obligatory shower scene!

"The Burning" is definitely in my top 4 slashers of all time. My first exposure to the movie was reading through Tom Savini's "Bizzaro" book in the early 80's as a kid and marveling at all the gory fx photo's. Of course I had to see it as soon as possible along side "The Prowler", "Eyes of a Stranger" and well, every other film in his book. I still have my uncut Thorn EMI Pre cert release on Betamax. The only way to go with this movie is the uncut MGM R1 release, it's outstanding and frankly makes a mockery of every other release available. After seeing the MGM print, it's day and night in comparison to the R2 releases, I'd only recommend the Vipco or similar (But still wouldn't) releases as a cheap way to see it for the first time if you really have to. Get the MGM one, it's so cheap to buy too. In regards to a sequel, I'm not going to spoil the ending for anyone who hasn't seen it but quite how would they go about that one exactly? : )
