Thumbs up on Code Red's NIGHTMARE! I held out on watching the movie since hearing about their plans to finally release it and I'm glad I did. Dark, mean movie that lies somewhere between HG Lewis and MANIAC. Good stuff. I preferred the 16:9 transfer over the 4:3 too.

I haven't received a batch of really old messages, but I've been kept up-to-date with every step of the progression of my recent orders, so it seems everything is back to normal.

I'd only ordered a few things (Nightmare and Point Break blu) but got all the emails in one go after they'd been dispatched. Guess it's back to normal now. Really keen to check out Nightmare In A Damaged Brain again - like some of the others on here I've not seen it since the VHS days. I remember it having a similar dark vibe to American Nightmare (Combat Shock), hope I'm remembering correctly!

As did mine-a superb package by the looks of it!

Been years since I saw this sleazo-looking forward to it indeed!

So now comes the questions...

01- Which version out of the 3 is considered the official of this release?
02- What are the differences in content between all three versions?

My two Nightmare copies arrived yesterday courtesy of Axel and said release certainly seems a solid enough package. Although the inclusion of two anamorphic widescreen prints (One from 2008, the other a newly-struck variant.) together with a full-frame version baffled me a bit. I'm also assuming the 95-minute Italian interview with Romano Scavolini comes with English subtitles.

To be honest, i don't approve of the DVD cover artwork but you gotta like the synopsis on the sleeve! Quite amusing imo and personally i can't imagine a better edition of Scavolini's slippery slaughterthon heading our way in the future. Nice one, Code Red!
