Mama (2013) As much as I'm against PG-13 horror. I loved the short film it's based on. I've read pretty reviews, and might give it a shot. Thoughts? |

I am not sure why PG-13 horror warrants opposition, but I think this looks decent. Looking forward to it.

It's because PG-13 usually means it's made so that teenagers 13 and up can view it. Usually horror movies are something you go to to avoid being around kids. Though this argument is moot, due to the simple fact that an R rating hasn't stopped numerous idiots from bringing their kids to a horror movie anyways. I actually remember going to see the terribly laughable Black Christmas remake, and sitting next to a kid and his mom in the theater, only to have them both feel uncomfortable during the incest scene. PG-13 to me, just means it doesn't cross certain lines that a R rated horror movie would garner. But I really, really liked the film it's based on so I gotta give it a chance. |
