Default Stallone vs Schwarzenegger

They said the same about The Last Stand, but that eventually made a profit. US ticket sales are only a small part of the revenue though, and between the foreign cinema, dvd/blu-ray/tv sales, I'd think it'll make a profit eventually.

Yeah true The Last Stand didn't do to well theatrically but it did perform very well on DVD. I heard it was actually one of the most sold films of 2013. Was this true?

It depends how much it cost, which isn't disclosed so we'll never know.

The main point is it opened on two and a half thousand screens and only raked in $5m. Perhaps Arnie's political career acts as a negative over there.

On the whole action stars seem to have lost their appeal in the States where they seem to go for OTT CGI all the time nowadays. The Last Stand only took just over $12m but another $36m worldwide. Escape Plan only did $25m but also took another $112m worldwide. Jason Statham's films also seem to do poorly in the States.

On a personal note i can't wait to see Sabotage.
