Finally got round to picking this up this week, what a super little package! Nice touch having the original artwork on the flip and as some people have said earlier i'd forgotten how heavy a dvd was with a booklet etc inside.

Only had time to watch the Fulci doc so far, great little extra, it was proper heartwarming him turning up at that convention after being so ill. Anyway, dvd gets both thumbs up! The only downside is i'll have to buy Macabre and Sleepless now too, it won't look right on the shelf on its own!

I'll also second a decent release of City of the living dead, I only have a copy in one of those slimline dvd cases that don't fit right on the shelf with other dvds, the picture is like i'm watching it through a pair of glasses with constantly rotating sweet wrappers for lenses! It was only 50p though, a bookshop in Chester was selling dozens of them a few years back.

I'm just the same with many of my most cherished movies. There's quite a few films i have multiple editions of and i'm always prepared to double dip if i think it's worth it. That's why i invested in the first three MOG DVDs. Not just because they were fully uncut U.K. versions but also effort was made to include a few more extras over the U.S. equivalents. It's always great to see more of this approach towards less mainstream fare. When fledgling U.K. companies try to make a particular release worthwhile then i'm always up for supporting them. But when a film is issued as a bare bones travesty by a cheap company then i'm simply not interested.

Again, lovely presentation and great documentary feature, plus another excellent booklet.

Come on Almar - let's have the ultimate edition of City Of The Living Dead next. You know you want to
The 'want' is there!

It's not on the listings for Film Four tonight. It's saying Donkey Punch and I Am Cuba, and then a 25 minute thing on Inglorious Basterds.
