For obvious reasons it couldn't be anything less than an 18. Where Amazon got their crazy 15-rating from I simply don't know. More likely from someone who hadn't seen the film or wasn't familiar with it.

It just got passed as an 18 for "sexualised violence and strong bloody horror".

I thought the British censors were really uncomfortable with sexual violence?

I didn't foresee any problems with this one today. The only scenes that would have been potentially problematic are the impaling of Linnea Quigley on the reindeer's antlers, and the butchering of the storeroom girl with the box-cutter. Even then the violence is brief and not overly graphic.

The sequels would also pass intact today.

Just make sure you watch the trailer AFTER the film.

Looking forward to seeing the booklet.

It would've been great to have the above illustration adorning the reverse cover no doubt about it.

But i must admit the 'controversial' design actually used instead also gets my approval so well done to all involved!

Has it been confirmed that ALL the films in the Lone Wolf & Cub boxset are uncut by the BBFC then?
