I'm still waiting on mine which shipped out last Saturday, although I'm in the US. Hearing all of these great comments is really getting me excited to watch it. I hope it arrives tomorrow.

Technical question for Almar 'n' Arrow -- since this was a collaboration with Blue Underground, what was it like working with BU and would You consider it again (either with BU or another company)? Also, was the transfering process left up to one side or the other, or was that a collaborative process as well?

I just signed up to this forum to say a big thank you to the guys & gals who put this release together. The excellent picture quality, the extras and the packaging are second to none. It puts big budget releases to shame. I really hope you manage to put The Beyond out on Blu-Ray.

I watched the Blu-ray last night. Bloody hell, it was like seeing it for the first time! The detail and image quality was incredible. And the sound! For the first time the music cues faded rather than just stopped dead, which was always quite jarring. Why was the audio different this time round? I'm not complaining, it's fantastic. Nice array of extras too - loved the Q&A with Giovanni and Catriona. Funny how neither of these genre heavyweights actually like horror movies! Lovely people though. And I loved Naomi's little animations - I was trying to think what they reminded me of and then it came to me - they seem heavily influenced by German expressionist cinema of the 20's. Or maybe I just have a strange perception of things! All-in-all an essential package and one that every fan should have in their collection. This Blu-ray sets a new benchmark for the format, I reckon.

It will definitely be one of my top five Blu-ray releases of the year by the time 2010 comes to a close, and that's putting it up against all the big American studios at what they have to offer. I still think [and hope] The Exorcist (my all-time favourite film) will be the one to beat but City of the Living Dead should be up there, probably in the top three along with Day of the Dead -- it's a better release than that one in my opinion!
