I believe that's the reason.

I'm wondering why it's only the DVD that has the 'Anniversary Edition' moniker attached to it, though? (it was the same with Inferno)

It can only be to do with the Blu-ray banner as it occupies the space where '25th Anniversary Edition' would go. A bit of a shame but I guess you could call it a trade-off for the AV quality.

Yeah, it's weird because when you then look at the Deep Red dvd the lack of any text at the top of the case makes it look odd somehow, as if something is obviously missing.

Put it at the bottom! Surely!

How 'bout taking all those retarded names and phrases off the bottom of the blu-ray packages. Then you can easily fit the 25th anniversary banner down there. Who needs 'Grace Jones' or 'A Frightening Comedy' down there. Give me a break.

Yes, give me a break yourself.

Can´t you count?... Who needs "25th anniversary"?

I'd hardly call the stuff at the bottom retarded. People didn't seem to have a problem with the lack of an Anniversary banner on the BD of COTLD. Is it really that big of a deal for people? With the banner, without the banner, it's all good.

I just think those phrases and lines at the bottom are getting ridiculous. Having the director's name (Argento, Bava) is fine but otherwise it's just overkill and takes attention away from the art.

Thought so - thanks guys.

Curiosity only, is why I asked re: the Anniversary banners. As having them on the HD releases too, could make them seem even more definitive in the eyes of a collector.

Also, I actually like the taglines and phrases at the bottom of the sleeves, adds a bit more character to the release.

So do I but it would be interesting to see how the package would look with the edition at the bottom of the box just as a mockup as I don't think it would work -- those sort of things really need to be at the top or not at all.
