Well I was working @ GFT & my whole shift was a nightmare (having a co-worker who was as much use a a pink marshmallow didn't help!!)...to be honest that's not true....the day/night was great...Callum decided he wanted things shifted (on a night like this we need to know what is shown/when/timing...it's all in our paperwork...I had to know when guests were there...to turn on mics..have water/glasses etc...not complaining as I thought it was V funny (despite my potentially going into meltdown!!)...Cal' handled everything brilliantly....the print we had of Demons had VERY low audio & I had to try & sort things out V punters & projectionist (to give you an idea we are NOT allowed to speak to the projectionist, we have to leave the auditorium & speak to a manager who will then speak to the projectionist...they can be a bit divaesque!)....the after party was great...music...not too hot (sorry Ash I fancied a shimmy!...book me for that next time!!)...met a couple of the guys from here (you know who you are!!).....so now just looking forward to the ARGENTO DAY (hinted at...do NOT quote me!!)

AND (I forgot this) we had the WORLD premier of Sergio Stivaletti's trailer for his new film....THE 3rd MUMMY....produced by DARIO ARGENTO!!

The Trailer was very brief...less than 1min!....but from what we had seen it looks sumptuous & colourful (a la Hammer) & looks to be a period piece....the trailer was very rough with no music or sound but had some very gory hi-lites!!

Had an absolute blast at the GFT, Demons on the big screen was very special. Fantastic guests who were incredibly friendly and approachable.

It was great meeting more of my fellow cult labbers before, during and after. I can't wait for the next event and would like to say a huge thanks to Calum & the GFT staff for making this happen.

I do wish to thank Nico for his appearance in Dublin and I'm sorry he felt he was unable to fulfil commitments made some time ago and under the guise of publicising a title Arrow has paid for and will release in the UK. I of course hope he enjoyed his brief stay in Dublin, the short moments he gave to Horrorthon and whilst I would have liked him to at least meet and greet the other guests out of common courtesy this is but a minor point.
Great thing about the Old firm derby is those football fans piss off out of the country for a few days and give us all a break from them.

Shame Nico didn't go to Glasgow, he came across as a nice guy and dealt with the questions even though some of them were embarressing. Anyway twas nice to meet you and the gang Calum. Pissed I didn't make it in for Stivaletti

I had a great time yeasterday. I had never seen any of the films so each one was a premiere for me. I enjoyed the herschell gordon and Demons films. Expose was not bad for a low budget film and at least I can say I have seen Island of Death(roll on Arrow release) I met up with Stephen and darthelvis and also met Pete later on. Thanks guys

Will definately go agian and hope to meet more people from the Labs.

Thanks guys! On the train back to Edinburgh now to help with Francesca's appearance at the B-Team event tonight at the Jekyll.

Suffice to say this warm feedback means a lot and I hope you will keep the opinions coming and maybe post a pic or two! (Did anyone get any snaps of the Q and A with the goat?)

I have to say that this may be my favourite of the events so far: Cult Labber Ashton Lamont held an incredible aftershow bash at Nice 'n' Sleazy's which was tremendous fun, Sergio was just about the most gracious gent imaginable (as I already knew), nice to have the ever amenable Jonathan Sothcott with us and Francesca was a doll.

However, as Almar correctly mentioned (and as I said before Stalker) this is your event and you guys are the real stars of the show. The only thing I care about, personally, is making sure everyone gets to meet the guests, has a ball and has the chance to mingle and make some new friends.

Kinda like a "live" version of Cult Labs

It was a great night, pure and simple. Hope Francesca, Sergio and Jonathan enjoyed themselves as much as we did.

Some of us even managed to win some prizes with our knowlege (I knew trawling the net for hours on end wiuld finally pay off!) I managed to win a very nice Afro Samurai: Resurrection dvds set. Unfortunately, I got home this morning and opened it up to find only one disc in it oh well, at least I still won something. Roll on the next event.

I took a wander into the GFT in the afternoon and had a very nice chat with Calum, who bought me a drink. An occasional poster on this forum, Dracucarr, had come all the way from Newcastle or thereabouts for the event, so it was great to finally meet him in the flesh. Calum invited me to the aftershow, but I would have probably passed out during it (it's happened before!), so I headed back home. As a Glasgow resident, it's no great bother for me to waltz along to the GFT, and I hope to make an appearance at subsequent events.

I thik we definately need to have a show of hands next time to find out how many from Cult Labs have made an appearance. It looks like there were a lot more than we thought.

Sent an email to the GFT too just to say thanks for hosting the event etc. Love the place. If I lived in Glasgow I'd be there all the time
