Only bad thing was the glue on the damn plastic wrapping that almost ripped a piece of the art on top of the box, I noticed it was stuck and beginning to rip, but slowly got if off without any real damage

Really nice looking box!

How long have you been waiting? What is shipping normally like from the UK to Sweden? Anyway, enjoy the set -- watch both versions in whatever order you see fit and then move on to the extra features! Hours of fun, bloody Japanese-style fun!

I waited for almost 3 weeks.
Normally it takes just a few days to arrive.

I began with the Theatrical cut, and I must say that even though the master have some DNR issues, I was pretty satisfied with the PQ
It sure isn´t an upscale (as some people thought) since you can make out finedetails only visible in a HD transfer. Sure some scenes are very soft, but most of the time it´s pretty damn good

So I´m VERY happy with my purcase!
Screenshots isn´t the best way to judge a transfer

I ordered mine before Christmas (for a friend as a b-day gift) hoping it would get here on before Jan 14th (which was his b-day) but so far nothing. I ordered Deep Red and BR on the same day and Deep Red arrived last Thursday. I'm pretty worried.

I completely agree with you on that as there is a vast difference between a still image and one that is moving as that screenshot is only representative of 1/24th of a second in the film!

You have a point with the slight softness but that could be due to the source material rather than the HD remastering process.

Not that I've received mine yet...

Many, if not most, Japanese films are not terribly sharp to begin with, so some softness is to be expected.

Just curious, as there were initially 5,000 and then it was pumped up to 10,000 are the extra 5,000 region free like the first batch?

Mine obviously isn't one of the first 5000 as it is number 8000-odd but is Region All just as the initial specs said it would be.
